For many of us, day to day experiences of racial prejudice can be what bring us down to our last life. Black Americans sometimes find it hard to decide which is more American, hatred or apple pie. Black American have been recipients of a dangerous human tendency we call hatred of the other, which goes back to Cain and Abel. Hatred and the isms associated with it are facts of life that many Black people face every day.But what is not written in stone is how we respond to it, and, especically, how to avoid internalizing it.
