Can Aweil condemn those misusing their community name in wrong allegations?
It may appear offensive but my expression goes to the team of a certain number of people that called themselves Aweil community. Aweil Community is composed of the peace loving people whose their name are currently being misused. Those who coordinate themselves to attack other communities and waging dangerous indictment using the name of the community are doing less for their good community.
It may not be the entire Aweil community but those advocating for the worse political tension in Sudan. Severino Majok carelessly released a position that does not represent the views of good citizen. Considering the facts that Salva had been under a very vigorous pressure to crack down on the corrupt officials or those alleged with corruption to face charges. These started when the junior officials were dragged away for investigation. Southern Sudanese rest their concern that Salva had not done enough to end problem within GOSS on corruption issues. Salva announced the lifting of the immunity on H.E Akuien Chol in order to clear himself from the corruption allegations. I don’t thinks his parliamentary immunity would be used to block him to get to the edge of legal investigation.
Arthur Akuein Chol the minister of finance and Economical Planning could be hold as the prime suspect because he is the head of the junior officials who were sacked. It is clear that Arthur Akuein was a member of the powerful council of ministers that revised the fade of the ministers. Constitution of Southern Sudan also mentioned clearly that GoSS President will act as per the Presidential powers. A problem that involved scandal will remain a legal issue. I quoted this article in the Constitution of Southern Sudan. Article 119. (1) A Minister of the Government of Southern Sudan shall be individually answerable to the president of the Government of Southern Sudan, the Southern Sudan Council of Ministers and the Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly for his or her ministry. Removing any minister from his position from his post has nothing to do with the constituency storming the prison in order to get hold of Mr Akuein.
Arthur Akuien Chol appearance at the court of law and his arrest is not affiliated with any influence of his colleague in the Cabinet but his mismanagement. Southern Sudan legal system which is composed of law enforcement agencies in the Rule of Law sector operates only with the directives from the constitution. It is not the tribal influence as some people need to make baseless accusation against the Minister of Legal Affairs and Constitutional Development. If the law was to be respected in Southern Sudan, then bringing any one including Akuein Chol into justice is not a crime or a wrong doing of the Government. He will prove his innocence before the court as fair trial is granted on the case.
The tribal affiliated group are working hard to ignite the political tension in Southern Sudan and between clans. This does not solve any problem as they alleged. Severino Majok and the team of those who called themselves the citizens of Northern Bhar el Gazal are just making bad allegation to discredit Salva‘s Government in making the right way to save the people of Southern Sudan. Akuien Chol is a politician and should be left alone in answering legal questions or face detention. Does that mean he was appointed to serve as minister under the pressure of the Aweil community? I don’t know if Aweil citizens CAREFULLY realised their support to lawlessness in Southern Sudan. With regards to Southern Sudanese who signed many partitions on the performance of Salva Government, it is important to move these as a bill in the Parliament or through your respective mps who are clean from corruption but not Akuein.
Having undergone the analysis of real threat behind these people, they are making intentional coercion against the laws of Southern Sudan in order to cause nervousness within the country while they enjoyed living in the foreign Countries. Minister of Legal Affairs is a professional legal personal. Who ones served in Juba as district magistrate in 70s. Writers need to very carefully.
Be very careful in representing communities in your personal speeches. If thoughts are yours then keep them for yourself but not transferring them to the community.
